No More Racist Marches in Birmingham

Full Text of Petition

To: Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police

The recent protests from the English Defence League have sparked off violent scenes that have brought shame to our city.

I call upon Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Police to ban any future protests from any racist organisation.

Birmingham prides itself on its tolerance and multiculturalism, but right now that reputation is at risk thanks to mindless thugs from out of town, intent on whipping up racial hatred and violence in the name of free speech.
